phone cards/ bigzoo.com

I learned of BigZoo through this forum many months ago. I am thinking of using them to make long distance calls primarily from pay phones. They list a 55 cent surcharge for each call plus 3.9 cents per minute. Does anyome have any long term direct experience with this group? I just got burned by MCI and am a little wary of "too good to be true" offers. Thanks

We have been using them for approx 2 years now. I pay 75 cents per month plus 2.9 cents per minute because we have a local access. Generally, we have very good luck with them. We do use them all the time, and do not have another long distance carrier.

I've used them for over a year, maybe two(I lose track of time). But no problems and no extra fees, taxes, etc except that 55c fee if you use a payphone (guess I havent made payphone call recently if ever as I remember it as 50c, oh well.) By way its only 2.9c per minute if there is a local dial up number in your area. I still have to use the 3.9c toll free long distance number to connect.

How do I contact BigZoo?

This company/service is great. I learned of BigZoo from Consumer Reports - if they have the blessing of Consumer Reports that is a substantial reassurance. I have used them for 1-2 years. The only negatives are you sometimes get a busy signal when you dial up the access number and sometimes their computer gets the hiccups. Both are easily overcome by redialing. This is a minor inconvenience for 3.9 cents per minute. The seventy-five cent charge only appears if you don't use the service during a calendar month. A big plus is PRIVACY. Where and who you call is not disclosed to the big telephone companies who ignore the limited privacy provisions. P.S. They have an introductory offer which you allows you to buy only $5.00 worth of time for a trial.
