With this and events yesterday I'm at the point of complete exasperation.

I actually think he's a reasonable player....i'd be happy with him....

He looked good at Norwich but was very poor at Cov. He did improve when Hartson joined so maybe he plays better with a 'big' CF. Not really a replacement for Shearer and I wonder how he'll play with Cort. Don't know til ou try I suppose.

We shouldn't really judge Bellamy on his time at Coventry, where he was expected to slot in where Robbie Keane left off.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I saw Robson's close friend Brian Hamilton the former Norwich City manager enthusing about Bellamy on Sky.

Hamilton said that Bellamy was a thinking footballer, very eager to learn and understand the game. Very hardworking, which fits in with the kind of signings Robson has made to date.

£6million seems a bit steep though, I would have thought about £3-4 million would be a fair price.

get real, Bellamy is whinging, one dimensional, nothing. Ask any cov regular and they'll tell you Cobi Jones was twice as good

-- Anonymous, June 21, 2001

All Cov fans expected him to be Robbie Keane and he probably had a couple of bad games and those crap fans got on his back.

Get Real! Really!

Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see.....pointless getting upset/happy about players we haven't actually signed....

no, he's toss, in fact, my best mates (brothers) go to every cov game and they are excellent judges of players, they question his attitude, his skill , his size, his everything...they hate him, and they were well pleased when they signed him. If you want an honest appraisal from the horses mouth i'll give you Gary's number and you can talk first hand with him. Afterwards you won't want him. Let him play in the NW where he belongs or hardly playing for wales cos he's arse.

MAGS SET FOR £6m STRIKER SIGNING

Newcastle United manager Bobby Robson has rekindled his interest in Welsh striker Craig Bellamy and is set to make a £6m swoop for the 22 year old Coventry City ace.

Robson missed out on Bellamy a year ago when he made the switch from Norwich City to Highfield Road, but Coventry's relegation to Division One is witnessing a mass Sky Blue exodus.

Having missed out on Francis Jeffers, who snubbed Newcastle for Arsenal, and seeing top target - Leeds United's Michael Bridges - laid up with a knee injury, Robson has moved for Bellamy.

Meanwhile Leeds are said to be interested in Millwall's Aussie international Lucas Neill, a previous target for Newcastle, and the 23-year-old can play as a right back or right midfield.

Two year ago I would have said that Bellamy would have been a good signing , but not so sure that he is good enough to play in the PL.

It been the same with a number of ex Norwich players,(Ruel Fox, Darren Eadie, Kieth O'neil ) great at Norwich, but not so good in the PL.
