The alert and the attuned know there is currently no 2002 US Classic Champs on the calendar. However, well placed sources have revealed to me that the event will take place, and that the likely location will be in northern Virginia in the heart of Quantico-land. In fact, right on the Quantico military reservation.

Lots of people probably thought that 2002 would be the year that NEOC finally hosted this event again, after a long absence. But the interminable wait will just go on...

QOC is indeed "exploring" the possibility of hosting the 2002 Classics. The meet would be on Quantico Marine Base or Prince William Forest Park, I forget exactly which, with a perhaps updated map. Timing would likely be late fall. Not much else to report at this point.
