The origin of the Alexander name : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

I know there's this new series from Chung called Alexander though I've no idea what it is all about because I haven't seen it. I was going to ask about the connection between Clavius in 2001 and Clavius in AF, but it seems this has already been discussed. However I watched A Clockwork Orange the other night and found out that Alex's full name was Alexander DeLarge. Alexander? Is there anyone who knows if Chung is a fan of these movies(2001, A Clockwork Orange)? They are both Kubrick films by the way(but you probably knew that already).

Yes, he is.

Don't ask me how I know that. I just do.

Alexander... well, are you gonna tell him, or should I?

Vercinge is right though. The Purge is so close to A Clockwork Orange it's not even funny.

Thanks, I needed that.

Wow... I never realized that The Purge and A Clockwork Orange (my all- time favorite film) were so closely related!

Still, I'll take Alex over a spindly wire frame, any day ;)

Never thought of that before. I believe Trevor's method (the Custodian?) was far more humane compared to Ludovico's technique in A clockwork orange. Alex felt sick everytime something "nasty" crossed his mind whereas the Breens in The Purge were "happy" all the time. They all walked around with big smiles on their faces. Hostess Judy seemed to be feeling just fine and was obviously having the time of her life. It turned out Bambara remembered himself becoming an altruist and once back to his normal self made this very clear to Trevor. Or did he remember? Maybe he found out after being purged by Aeon? Unlikely.
