I am trying to date a bottle I have. It is a rock and rye bottle made by Schlesinger and Bender, Inc. They were located in San Francisco and I know they were established in 1879 according to their label. Are they still in business and if not, when did they go out of business? Patsy

I tried googling with "schlesinger & bender" + "rock and rye" and got nothing. Rock and rye on its own gets a lot of input on candy and novelty beverages. So start hunting in forums that discuss collecting medicine bottles.
