I have 2 bound volumes of Sartain Magazine from 1849. The first volume (Vol IV) is from Jan. thru June. It contains 'A Valentine' by Poe in addition to many other authors (including Longfellow). The second volume (Vol V) is from July thru December. It contains many authors as well. It also includes 'Bells'. I have not been able to find any information on Sartain Publication. Do you have any idea to the history or possible value. thanks Mike

If they are both in good condition, Barnes & Noble (www.bn.com) are selling similar items for around $200 each.

As for the history of this particular magazine, I have no idea. Anyone else know?
