Frozen Faucet Fix

Frozen with mineral deposits, that is. New plumbing is easy to work on because things haven't had a chance to corrode yet. When working on older plumbing, unfortunately, half the battle is getting past mineral deposits and corrosion. Sometimes removing stubborn faucet handles can be a real challenge. To make this task easier, try wrapping the frozen handle with a rag and then soaking it with vinegar. Keep the rag damp and in a day or two, the vinegar will dissolve the deposits and the handle will come off without a fight.
