nufc.com are talking about 3 players joining. 2 are from the Nationwide. Any idea who?

Elliot is one, the other probably isn't as famous
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Zenden, Elliot and Lee Hughes.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Ya agree on Elliot and Hughes but not so sure about Zenden. But I hope its him.

Well, judging by the thread title, I guess one of them must be a Johnny Foreigner. DOn't worry - I'm on my way already. No need for the coat or hat.

......mind, he may only be available for weekend matches, Sir!
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
At least we'll have some protection if we end up in the shit!!

Kiko's done a come and get me Robson thing, good player.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Has he specifically targeted Newcastle Swift. The reports I saw just suggested he was ready for a move. Seems a genuine player who was willing to drop down a division for Athletico.Free transfer as well, which will suit our money men.

I've heard Euell and Elliot. High profile signing is a mystery so far.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
The concensus here is that in the right team he'd be a star turn. Big, strong, slightly maverick attitude and silky skills. Literally a Spanish Paolo Di Canio. Bob, get him.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
If we buy Euell we may as well kiss good bye any pretensions at being a mid table team. Where did you hear this Lynda?
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Hey Boodavin, don't bother with the prospect of passing the ball to Totti, pass to Euell...i cringe
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Hughes is crap, a waste of money.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
I heard on the grapevine. No one 'official ' told me so I suppose it's a rumour like everything else. Hope so!The thing is - who can we sign who we would all be pleased about, yet would be prepared to come to NUFC?

Coming from york I have herd Darren Barnard from Barnsley is back on the shopping list, but Glass dosen,t want to go to there
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
Kiko was a good player - several years ago. However, in the season just finished I understand he only played a handful of games for Athletico in the Spanish 2nd Div.
There may, of course, be mitigating circumstances but he looks like another high-salaried loser to me. Frankly, I wouldn't touch him with the proverbial.
-- Anonymous, June 18, 2001
The packet must be Des Hamilton, Lee Bradbury and the high-profile star will be Ashley Ward.
-- Anonymous, June 19, 2001
not a chance Jussi, none of them played for Wadsworth
-- Anonymous, June 19, 2001
Back to York Magpie's point about Darren Barnard. Stephen Glass is not our player to offer to anyone is he? Surely he's out of contract or only a few days away from being out of contract, so we can't expect to use him in any transfer deal.
