Greetings from Bangkok

Just met a couple of Evertonians who said the second best deal they have done is seeling Jeffers to the Gooners. He had no interest in palying for them at all towards the end. The first was selling Fergy to us. They also said Evertn desperately wanted YBR and were very jealous of us. They also said they were surprised at any gloom and doom at SJP as the Goodison followers think we are twice as ambitious as they are and they have heard from a "reliable source" that Zenden will most prb join us.

Any views on this???

Good morning from North Shields, Derek. Doesn't have the same ring to it, but hey.
We haven't seen the sun here for about a week, but at least the monsoons have abated, and the sun's making a feeble attempt to show its face this morning.
All I can add on the Jeffers situation is that very, very few Toon fans seem bothered that we didn't sign him, although a great many are brassed off over his disrespectful attitude towards us. You can be sure he will get his just desserts whenever he shows his ugly mug at SJP.
The depressing reality of the situation with Jeffers is that it has put in stark relief the major problem we now face in attracting real talent to SJP. In this regard what now happens with Zenden is quite important.
This morning's Sunday Sun reckons Deportivo and Parma are also after him, and that he would like to remain in Spain, but that so far our bid is the highest by some distance.
If this minor star were also to reject us, it would deepen the gloom surrounding our prospects before a ball has even been kicked in the new season.

Just to cheer you up, in the NOTW, there's a bird who has shagged Jeffers saying that his ears were useful to hold onto during intimate moments. Made me larf anyway. More seriously, I am worried that the only people who will join us are people who just want the money ...why else would anyone major come here? Yep, we love it. Yep, we are one of the more storied clubs in this country, but we aren't in Europe, aren't in London and have a fairly poor squad that needs a major injection of talent. Honestly can't see why anyone would come other than the money.

Which leads us neatly back to the one thing which is completely in our hands, would show ambition, professionalism, forward thinking and a genuine desire to build a lasting legacy; namely the actual physical structure of the youth academy.

Is this what is meant by the term 'aural sex'?
