So I think I have discovered that my sense of smell is messed up when it comes to papayas. They smell like vomit. This sort of thing is common with some foods, people are missing receptors or something, and it makes the item smell or taste completely different. I always thought people were nuts for liking papaya.

Does it smell like candy to you? Or barf?

i cannot agree more with you, cannot stand the smell of papayas, and i cannot say more a bout the taste,the smell usually spoils the moment and i cannot actually eat it
