Going to Somerset, my girlfriend's cousin is getting married so I'm spending all weekend dodging the family questions about, "So when are you going to..blah blah".

Reception is at a golf club so I'm packing my clubs!!

That will pretty much take up my weekend but I'm hoping to go out for a few pints on Sunday night!

Trying to catch up on threads, but my brain is scrambled. It's hotter than Hades with matching humidity here. Spent part of yesterday afternoon lining up for the U2 concert before sense got the better of me and I spent the rest of the time wandering around the AIR CONDITIONED (YESS!!) Discovery store. All kinds of 'intellectual' kind of toys and stuff...and did I mention it was air conditioned(!!)?

Let all the smelly loonies who'd camped out in line since before dawn grab the 'good' spots, i.e the crush up by the stage, while I staked out a spot smack in front of the soundboard/vip area dead center with a nice rail to lean against and plenty of room to move and dance during the show. No really recognizable VIPs, though a friend did tell me there was a Backsteet Boy standing right behind me. *shrug* And I think there were various offspring of various Congressmen back there. A girl I met in line works on the Hill and said Bono had given out alot of passes to Congressional-types while he was there the previous day. No sign of Jenna Bush, but she was probably off at the beer concession trying not to be recognized. ;-)

Great show! Bono having a field day getting in digs at America's conservative politics, which the very liberal-biased VIPs behind me ate up. I'm exhausted and wiped, haven't eaten properly since Wednesday and going back for more tonight. At least I've got a reserved seat, so my back will be very happy about that. :-)

Saturday, I'm plopping my exhausted self on my couch for a massive footy feast. US WCQ at 2pm followed by an MLS game at 4 and another at 8p.

Sunday. Nothing! :-)

That's a coincidence Steph, I'm going to see the Wildhearts with you. I'm sure that if they just stick some dance music on over the PA we will be equally happy ;-)
