1955 Cup Final Programme

I was just wandering mournfully around Consett (it's peeing down) and went into one of the charity shops to see if I could pick up some books. Imagine my delight to see a 1955 Cup Final programme for £1.

Oh, the reason I posted this was to wonder why anyone would want to give away a programme like this....Is some poor soul so disillusioned that he is giving away his treasures?

Perhaps an inbred stole it? And thought it would be funny to sell it to the little old woman shop owner, instead of robbing her?

The daft Free Ticket Makkem git would understand the concept of making a profit if it hit him in the eyes.

Dougal - they're about £35 in good nick. I imagine the staples are rusted to buggery? I recently scored a 1932 Cup Final songsheet to go with my programme and ticket. Skill!

Actually, Dan, it looks like someone had really treasured it. That was what upset me most....
