Thousands of Stark County residents who don't know whether their water wells are poisoned face a hot, dry, nervous weekend.

Water tests will begin today, but initial results won't be available until Monday -- and a county health official says if wells are contaminated, it could be a year before a long-term solution is available to provide water safe for drinking, cooking and bathing.
