Anyone mind being interviewed?greenspun.com : LUSENET : domestic violence : One Thread |
Hi,I'm a reporter with the Salt Lake Tribune in Salt Lake City, Utah. I recently read the wonderful AP national story on battered men, and I am trying to work on a localized version for our readers here.
Utah's domestic violence law is gender-neutral, and all our shelters either must be set up to accommodate men or to make other arrangements (hotels, etc.) for them.
I'm looking for some former victims of abuse who might be willing to speak with me -- particularly in Utah, but also beyond. Anonymity is not a problem if you don't want your name used.
I've e-mailed some of you individually, but thought a posting might be a good idea. Please e-mail me and let me know if you don't mind talking to me. I would really appreciate it, and I hope that the story will help to focus more attention on male domestic abuse.
Thanks again!
