S.L. tip for Sap removal

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

Don't Be a Sap! If you've been busy pruning outside and discover that some of that sticky sap has found its way onto your hands and clothes, you can get rid of it by rubbing the affected areas first with vegetable oil or shortening. Then put liquid laundry detergent directly on the area or rub with a bar soap and wash vigorously. Launder in the hottest water safe for that fabric.
