Envelopes for Print Protection

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Printing & Finishing : One Thread

My wife makes 8.5x11 color prints from digital pictures. Since the inks are water soluable, she takes great pains to keep them away from water splashes. Any suggestions on transparent "envelopes" (the size of the print) to be used for normal print handling? For storage, there are many transparent envelopes for use in 3 ring binders.

Sure, go to Light Impressions. They have all sorts of archival stuff including clear envelopes. Cheers

A nice option is to use a product called Clear Bags, at www.clearbags.com. Their web site says "made of super strength crystal clear material and featuring a peal-away adhesive strip for self sealing. These bags replace or substitute shrink-wrapping and original packing.

Made within 1/8" of listed size Never damaging to artwork Easy to use Acid Free Does not adversely affect color quality Re-sealable "
