get rid of the following

I think we should lighten our load substantially starting with Marcy, Barton, Quinn (Bobby messed up on this lad) Speed, Bassedas, Acuna. I would offer solano to the highest bidder and also tell Shearer that he cannot expect to start and finish every game just because he's Alan shearer.

I don't have issue with any of these players, it's just that the positions they hold are key and there are better players out there, for a minimal investment. Don't ask me to name names because I have no idea what I am talking about.

"Quinn (Bobby messed up on this lad"

Amazing! faced with the enforced sale of Domi, although he probably wanted rid of him too, Robson was given about £1.5 million to spend on a quality left back. Quinn plays for a couple of months and people want him out. The only person that will leave is Marcellino and that is not secure yet.

Deb, I am only going by the few games I saw him play in and what has been said on here. Apparently he just doesn't possess premiership quality, he can cross the ball and that's it. Put him up against some quality opposition and he just doesn't have the guile to compete. Why do we have to wait for players "to settle in" isn't that why we bought him? Luax2 came with huge expectations tied to him. So far he's failed to live up to the hype.

You get what you pay for and Quinn is the classic example. I fail to see how we could have done much better given the resources available and the desperate need for a left back.

You're right, you get what you pay for. It is apparent that Newcastle no longer have the necessary clout in terms of money or marketability to compete in the big money game of premiership football. Chelsea are throwing money around like no ones business. Hopefully we will see after july 7.

The infamous date gets nearer! Christ there's going to be some scramble for signatures after that date.

My reckoning is that Robson has players lined up after that date, with promises of huge wages due to the abscence of a transfer fee.

Or am I dreaming?

Suddenly Deb is awoken from his slumber by the alarm clock, he looks over to check the time, only there is no time and it's still dark outside. What day is it?

Who are you? Why does my head hurt so much and who's nicked my money?

-- Anonymous, June 13, 2001

isn't there a list somewhere (Rik you usually know of these things) of players fee under Bosman, what we then need is someone who knows through CM how good these players are (Rik you're good at these things) and then we can work out who is coming (sadly for Rik it doesn't include either Mpenza or Jansen)
