I today passed all out monies on to the Briitsh Heart Foundation.

We ended up donating £420, Jenny will receive notification from them.

If there is any further stragglers I'll send things on, but it was Friday when I last received anything.

Well done macbeth.

I have (here, in Singapore) Ken's "The Season Ticket" (which he sent on it's 'voyage' on 22 June 2000; so far it's been to Oz (gus & LT), Canada (Pete) and Japan (Kegsy), who wants to be next? Syme?

I'm quoting Ken(RIP)here, "Return 'eventually' by a round the world route to: ..."

Bud - there's a guy in Falls Church, Virginia who had is name down for the book later.

In terms of where it should end up at, I reckon it should keep gannin until the cover falls off.

I hope that someone has had the forethought of covering the book with excess wallpaper, just like we had to do at school.

Thank you for your efforts, Macca. Greatly appreciated.

From British Heart Foundation, note the "every two minutes" ....

Dear Ian

Thank you so much for the generous donation of £420.00 from your internet friends in memory of Ken.

Every two minutes someone dies from heart and circulatory problems in the UK. Heart research is the key to progress in the fight against heart disease as the results help to push forward the boundaries of our knowledge and open the way for breakthroughs later. The British Heart Foundation is a major national charity creating centres of excellence for heart research. We receive no government funding and depend on voluntary donations.

A written acknowledgement will follow by post.

Good work Mac.

Last note, honest.

Received a letter from Jenny Dixon this morning expressing her thanks for all our condolences/tributes. She believes the tributes will help the girls later on have stronger memories of Ken.

The flowers we sent were much appreciated as we those from the Australian crew. Ken was laid to rest in his new Newcastle top so the flowers were very appropriate. She is much taken with the heritage stone at SJP as Ken had always thought it was a great idea.

There was also a note of condolence from the club, from David Stonehouse, which particularly impressed Kens brothers. (A special thanks from me to the person who contacted the club).

Well done Mac...just seen this! and seconded about whoever contacted the club...

I missed this the first time around. Thank you MacBeth for organising this. I echo scratchys comments that the book should keep going until everybody has had the chance to read it. I think that's what Ken would have wanted and the reason he sent it in the first place. Appologies to those of you waitying over 6 months for it....
