In a word was Kieron Dyer RIGHT or WRONG to say what he's recently said?

WRONG

If thats what he feels, I'm OK with him saying it.
I'd far rather the Club and the fans know exactly how he feels, rather than him just bogging off in frustration and then slagging off the Club, as countless others have done.
However, this assumes of course, perhaps naively, that his comments have been accurately reported.

Right to say it. Wrong to say it in public

in fact I'd like EVERY player in the squad to go up to the board and tell them to get their f*cking fingers out and sort out our playing staff problems ASAP.

He is right to question the club's ambition and he is one of many players to say that we need to buy. However, he sounds like he is holding the club to ransome.

Wrong

He gets paid quite enough already for being injured at NUFC without the need to talk to cockney mudslingers. With no financial need to associate with these shysters his motives can only be looked on as malicious. I notice he has already sent a full rebuttal of this story to PA sport but has oddly neglected to sue the Sun despite being "grossly misrepresented". He's not clever enough to do any of this for himself. He's following his agent's instructions.

Wrong - only in that it was made public.

Dirty linen should be sorted behind closed doors.

Should really have included these statements in his contract negotiations, not in the press, although it is what everyone else is thinking.

Young, dumb and full of................

Now he didnt really say it that way and are not going to have showdown talks with the managment or Bobby R. But even if he should have said it he was RIGHT in doing so.

maybe we should buy someone that is better than dyer, then see how he likes it. We went out and bought quality like you said, except it's in your position, and he doesn't get hurt as much as you. Dyer, his fat mouth and his agent are getting right on my tits (literally speaking)

Take away his video camera and he's spouting off to the papers. Perhaps the club would be advised to find Dyer something to keep him occupied next summer. ;-)

He's not saying anything that hasn't been said before by fans and other players. He's just wrong to make it so public, issue a (not so) veiled threat to leave, then try to claim he was misquoted. Though I suppose it also wouldn't surprise me if the Sun really did make up the original quotes to stir the pot. Their writers must get bored too in teh close season.

He was right to say it...and say it publicly. It's what nearly everybody on this board has been saying for the past three seasons. Maybe they'll pay attention to Dyer. Being a quiet little mouse in the corner hoping things will get better doesn't work any more - if it ever did. My feeling is that as long as they keep getting 50,000 to every match there's no reason to be ambitious.
