Anyone near us need mulch hay? Response to Sharon's comment on aquiring mulch hay!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

Sharon, we still got about 250 bales of mulch hay left from last years terrible hay season, and need to get it out of the way before we start baling hay ( soon as the rain stops for a week!!!). It's only very slightly moldy, and only in a few spots, we sell it as "cow hay" because it's still fine for cattle, just not horses.

So, does anyone still need mulch hay for the garden, we'll make you a great deal, say, 50 cents for small quantities, or way less for a pickup load or the whole shebang!!!

We are in Monroe county, 60 miles north east from Marietta, OH, or 43 miles south west of Wheeling, WV, just 26 miles from I-70. Any takers?

Well Annie just as soon as you move closer,we can make a deal.'Fraid you are still abt 6-7 hrs away. But I do head out I-70 from time to time.I'll wave as I go by,next time!

So far,we get hay off the farmer in exchange for rabbit hunting privileges. He's our kind of hunter, conscientious,so we don't mind it a bit.

Maybe you could try posting it on the GardenWeb and see if there are any takers. The compost forum is FULL of people all over the country (and other countries) looking for lots of cheap materials to turn into compost for their gardens, or for building compost bins.
