Ipswich were also interested but he wants something like £20,000 a week and baulked at that figure.

If he's on a free then I can't see the problem money wise. On the playing side I'm not sure he would offer that much to the team. I trust Robson if he decides Kachloul is not good enough for us. However, with the release of Glass and now this I sincerely hope Robson has a decent left winger or two lined up to slot in.

Derby need a left sided player because Seth Johnson is leaving to go somewhere ?

Where did Glass go to eventually?

As far as I know he hasn't signed for anyone yet, indeed I haven't heard that he has officially turned down the offer from NUFC.

I think it was fair to release Glass. He needs to get first team football and he needs to fulfill his potential. Personally i'm sad though, i liked Glass.

Indeed it was fair to release him if we are not going to play him but there have been a lot of questions as to whether we should have released him.

Seth Johnson is a good player, and Yes he's got a left foot , but left winger he a'int. If Gary Speed hadn't signed a long contract I would ave said , go for Johnson and sell Speed, but he has, so I won't.

Seth Johnson is a better player than Gary Speed and would be a great, long-term acquisition for us. He could play either in central m/f or on the left side of m/f, where he has tended to play for Derby.

While GS has signed a contract extension, this merely protects his transfer value, and stills makes it possible that he could be traded if we could get better players in.

IMO, Seth Johnson, Frank Lampard Jnr. and Michael Carrick are just the sort of young, talented m/f players we should be looking to bring to the Club.
