Retirement not going to plan then Rik?

I'm waiting for a formal written offer of employment from my new employers until I hand in my notice so you can imagine my eagerness to 'get on with things'. I find myself worrying about work every now and then and I think 'why?'!!

See Barcelona have effectively placed their entire team on the transfer list as they review their playing staff. I wonder if Bobby could entice any of them over here? Planetfootball has us interested in a Urugyan forward called Silva.

I'm recovering from a hectic w/end. I cycled 7 miles to the pub on Friday.... filled myself with HSB then had a very hot curry. Cycling home was going ok but the crouching position and cycling motion forced the curry/beer to be squeezed upwards.... and out! Like a true pro I kept cycling and just threw up over the side as I went along.

Saturday came and went with many trips to the lavatory and apllications of sudacreme

Sunday was golf all day which necessarily involved drinking far too much in order to try and forget the crap scoring.

Today I'm knackered and can barely read never mind type. I'm going to slip down the rub-a-dub now to see if I can get myself back in shape..... I'll try and post some gossip/rumours this afternoon

De B/ Geordie I wish I could retire, I'm sitting in my shop in Shields wondering how I'll ever be able to afford a set of Callaways if buisiness continues as it is. High street shops are finished, wish I could do something else.

I spent most of the weekend inebriated as a few old college friends came to visit. Loads of drinking from Saturday afternoon onwards culminated in being asked to play mixed lacrosse for the College 'old boys' team, whilst having lunch in a pub in Town.

I'd already started refuelling to the tune of three pints of Becks when I mistakenly agreed to this. Our goalkeeper was also the worse for wear but he didn't have to run around much!

Anyway, we beat the current college first team 19-3 so there's a lesson to be learnt somewhere in there, perhaps along the lines of 'Students don't drink enough?'

Back to the pub after the game!
