Nakata insteed of Dyer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

TTB says that Roma wants to exchange Nakata for Dyer. Throw in some millions and shoud go for it. Nakata is a HUGE star in Japan and Newcastle will make a lot of money out of the deal. Of course you cant buy players only to raise the interstet in Asia but he's a good player and will be as good as Dyer me thinks.

Nakata didn't have a good against Australia last thursday (apart from scoring the only goal from a free kick). Paul Okon (of Middlesborough) and Nakata basically cancelled each other out.

I'd take Nakata in a shot (as I have said time and time again on here) not for Dyer though. I'd like to see them both. Nakata had an average game against Australia but he is the only attacking option the Japanese have. Mark him out of the game and they won't score - you literally don't have to worry about the others because they are all pretty cr@p (with perhaps the exception of Ono).

Australia should have won that game and won it well but the finall ball was poor and the forwards didn't look like they would score all night. In fact there's a rumour going round that they went to Shinjuku itchome (the red light district) and failed to score there.......

Though if Kewell and Viduka had played it would have been more interesting.

Narkarta is an excellent player and would gain the club millions in merchandise sales. I don't really think he would want to play for us and I wouldn't want us to part with Dyer to get him.
