toti emul esto (translation?)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

O.K. Folks, a blacksmith book I just read said that this sign was found out side of a Chineese blacksmith shop in the 1890's in California, it read: toti emul esto

I am sure that a few of you have seen this before, let's let it ride until tomorrow and give those who have not seen it a chance to see if they are alert.

Response to toti emul esto

There was something lost in the translation between my puter and your screen, the sign was in three layers toti on top, emul as the second line, ect.
