Rogaine commercials

"Shall we pick on Rien for not succumbing to the Rogaine commercials?"

Shall we pick on people who think commercials from their particular country are known worldwide? (In other words, Rogaine? What the hell is....)

Oh, sorry Rien,

Rogaine -- it's been around for so long that I'd figured for certain the pharmaceutical companies had started advertising it in Europe. It's a (now) non-prescription remedy for hair loss. Also goes under the name "Minoxidil".

It's sort of amazing, when I pause to think about it, that so many advertisements for things here include the phrase "Used in Europe for --- years." and that's considered a mark of how backwards American pharmaceuticals are...

Oh I see. Thank you *very* much. Actually, I'm not going bald actually. Actually the hair is more like sort of falling through my head. ;-)

::grin::

Only teasing you, actually. I don't have a personal hair fixation (but my dear husband does). I think high foreheads are quite intellectual, and I think both Patrick Stewart and Peter Woodward are quite sexy.

One of my dear friends who did go quite bald said that actually he didn't lose any hair at all -- it just slid down the back of his head onto his back (which grew steadily furrier as he got older).

Have you ever heard of "Blousant"? According to the (very annoying) adds, it's been "used in Europe for -- years" to help women increase bust size.

Do you stuff them into your bra? Can you actually take a pill to get bigger boobs? If you stop taking the pills, do they shrink back?

Never heard of it. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, of course. I'm just not very familiar with breast enlarging techniques. You'll have to forgive me ;-)

If you overdose, do they explode?
