Vuelta Ciclistica a Mazatlan - Santa Rita 2001

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camacho TV -Let's Start An Argument- Board : One Thread

Just got back last Sunday from a 5 day stage race in Mazatlan, Mexico where I placed 5th overall in my category. It was a podium position (5 awarded positions altogether), with some prize money attached. Great fun, great competition. It's a dream come true for me... even since I was a little boy in Colombia I wanted to race in bicycle races - hearing the Vuelta a Colombia. Now in life's strange turn of events at my age (51) I have the time and thanks God, the good health and fitness to live out a little bit of my dream. If you want to know more about the event and see the results on-line, pleas go to www.vueltamazatlan.8m.com or www.cyclingnews.com and click on the Vuelta Ciclistica Mazatlan. The first site is better. I'll try to send some pics next week. Thanks Bette, in particular for your support.

Podium man!

Great job! Of course, as your agent I get 30% of all winnings, plus my usual fee, but we can settle those accounts when you get back. Until then, just bask in your victory!

congratulations Uncle Harold!

Wow! Congratulations on your finish! It must be exciting to get rewarded money for doing something you've always dreamed of! I can't imagine racing for 5 days straight, but it sounds like you're in much better shape than I am :). Take care!
