how to get an infant down a ramp myself

i am a parapalegic and dont know how i could get an infant down our house ramp down to the car if you can help me with a solution i would appreciate it

i have used an infant carrier that straps to the front...it works well. later, when she was older, i used a belt to strap her to me.

Try either a frontpack (aka snuggly) or a baby sling. The front pack fastens the baby securely to his or her mother and also supports his or her little head. However, they can't be used as long as a baby sling. The baby sling goes over one shoulder and under the other arm the baby is craddled inside it almost like a mother or father suspended hamock.

In fact, my vet recommended using a front pack with my alerting dog since I am not only Deaf, but in a wheelchair. It works great! I am looking forward to the day my son or daughter will be filling my front pack.
