As a precedent fot this sort of thing I was contacted by e-mail by Neil Farrington last week to give my view on the team, transfer targets etc for the Sunday Sun.

I politely thank him for his interest but said I didn't think I was any more qualified than the next fan to comment on team matters just because I happened to be on some committee. He hasn't contacted me again. So now it'll be 'committee man refuses to speak to fans paper', ' NUFC gag fans commmittee'
