If he's trying to get Manure to come up with an offer, does he really think that his words will bring that offer to the table.

Dyer would obviously talk to other clubs if NUFC decide to seel, I see no wrong in that and as for his words about seeing who we buy before he commits himself then I'm in favour of a bit of persuasion on that front! Harper and Shearer have already made similar statements.

you are Dyer, what does Francis Jeffers and Morten Berre say to you?

-- Anonymous, June 07, 2001

No story. As DeB says, just about par for the course at this time of the year (and most others as well).

Jeffers would probably say, "Where is your car parked and does it have an alarm?"

Berre would probably say, "Hurdy burdy, put the birdy in the pot, hurdy burdy"

Juve, Inter and Leeds are now supposed to be ahead of Manure in the pecking order for Dyer's signature, with us asking in excess of 20 Mill.

Please, please, p1ss of and leave us alone.

it's a pain in the neck.

I don't think there's a huge problem with this. If we get £20m for the player, despite Ipswich's cut, we'll be laughing. I'd be concerned if we sold him to Manure.

Just make sure we get first option on his return. Lets make these obscure clauses work in our favour!

no one will touch Dyer as long as he's injured. Agents can say what they like, but until he goes out and puts the injury behind him 20m may as well be a shilling...it won't happen.
