greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

i am switching from tri-x to fuji neopan 400 and was wondering about the iso film speeds that people use for this film. i do not have a dark room to use and will be taking all of my negs to a professional b&w lab for processing and printing.

Well Mike, I have been using an EV of 400 and it has been working just fine in Sprint developer [equal to D-76 1:1]. At about 320 it sings when developed in Rodinal 1:100.

I shoot Neopan as my primary film. At 400, PF FX-2 68 deg. 15 min, inversion every minute. At 800, PF FX-2 @Half-Strength, 68 deg, NO AGITATION, One Hour, 15 Min. Very sharp results with both, and I shoot about half at 400 and half at 800. For Commercial apps, only 400.

Ilfosol S works great at 1+9, 68 deg. Inversion every minute, 7.5 min.
