Jason Wilcox ?

Is said to be on his way out of Leeds. Could he be a short term answer to our left wing problem? I'd like to think we could have him and another younger left winger at the club battling for the place. Or is he past his best?

From TeamTalkBollox...

Meanwhile, Manchester City are the latest club said to be considering a move for Leeds winger Jason Wilcox. Wilcox made an England return under Kevin Keegan, who having now taken over at Maine Road, will be trying to gain promotion at the first attempt. Wilcox had been earmarked by Keegan for the left side role in Euro 2000 but an injury cost him his place and he has never recovered his best form since.

Leave him for Keegan, he's a first Division player. We should set our sights a bit higher.

but we'd be able to rotate him and Speed without noticing either were missing

With respect, Wilcox is not in the same class as Gary Speed.

can you imagine speed getting a game for leeds?

He'd probably get quite a few more games for Leeds than Wilcox has managed.

Fans calling for "more English grit" should look no further than anyone except Wilcox. He can put in a decent ball, but so can Wayne Quinn. Wilcox is possibly in the Robert Pires league of weakness.
