Calling all you boys and girls in Oz (non footy)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Having survived a night out with Min in NZ, my lad embarks on the next leg of his "Wrold Tour" this weekend, hitting Sydney (in a non-violent type of way) for 3 months or so.

Being a recently impoverished student (now graduated) and with a father who likes him to stand on his own two feet (unless out drinking with Min), he is now looking for gainful employment Downunder (if you understand what I mean).

If any of you wonderful people know of any opportunities, I have his full CV, but briefly, 2.1 in Marketing, 15 months placement experience with a "large international computer manufacturer" and various casual jobs, mostly in the drinking/eating area. Anything considered at this stage (as long as it is legal). He has a great sense of adventure, as witnessed by a world trek, leaping out of an aeroplane for the first time from 12,000ft and jumping 3 times off the equivalent of the top of Cambois POwer Station chimneys with only an elastic band to break his fall - I dunno where he gets it from ;-)

So, please excuse my cheek (no, not that one Gus) but it's easier to ask on here than to send individual e-mails. Please reply here, to my Genie address (below) or to my work address if you have it.

PS. He's B&W thru & thru ;-)

If you could send me his CV I'll ask me boss if he knows of anything. Will he want work for the full 3 months or just a proportion of it? Did he do the Queenstown bungey 'thrilogy'? Nevis is the best - 137m straight doon.

Thanks fellas. Yes Nick, it was the "Thillogy" he did - I'm waiting for the fotos. Mad bugger. Sting - I think you may have met him in the Straabeery at the L'pool game last season. I'll send youse twos emails - ta! To be honest, I dunno when he's arriving, but I think it's tomorrow (7th) so drinks with LT might be on. I know he has a gaff in Bondi Beach sorted (well, it beats Seaton Sluice, or so I hear).

For those of you who are interestred, you can find out more here (so I don't expect many hits).
