Police: Web Site Exploited Girls By JIM FITZGERALD, Associated Press Writer-

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. (AP) - Two high school seniors have been charged with harassment, accused of running a Web site that listed alleged sexual secrets of as many as 40 girls, police said Tuesday.

The site, which has been shut down, also disclosed the girls' family information, phone numbers and addresses. At least 14 other male students at the prestigious Horace Greeley High School had the password to the site.

``In many cases, there was information put out that was very sensitive, very private and information that caused a lot of anguish,'' said Detective Sgt. James Carroll. ``All of these girls said they felt exploited by it.''

The two seniors, whose names were not disclosed, were charged last week with second-degree aggravated harassment after word about the Web site spread through the school, Officer Dan Cannon said Tuesday. The charge carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Cannon said it was department policy not to release the names of suspects who might get youthful-offender status from a court. The seniors, both 18, were arrested and released without bail.

Mike Weinberg, a senior at the school, told The Journal News he was angered by the site because it exposed the girls to public humiliation.

``You hang out with your friends and you make stupid comments but no one acts on it,'' he said. ``No one makes a Web site.''

You titled this thread, Clinton's Chappaqua website shut down, yet the article has zero to do with Clinton.

Are you going to be the new "Ain't"?

It is no secret among Chappaquacks as to what Clinton is up to.

A simple "yes" would do.

Before Clinton moved here, Chappaqua was a quiet town of martini drinking, wife-swapping country clubbers. Now it is debauched.

Web Site Exploited Girls

I think this is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to how much personal info and video may get passed around on the Net in the future by, let's say for example, an ex. (How would you like a streaming video of you with an earlier lover available to all on Gnutella, without your O.K.?) It won't be long before everyone has mobile, wireless Net access, and incidents like this are only bound to increase as Net access gets quicker and more mobile.
