Info re: Noe Valley homebuilder John Anderson

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

My family lives in one of the John Anderson houses built around the turn of the century in Noe Valley. Although I recall a little information about Anderson from a City Walk tour, does anybody have info or resources where I can learn more about him? Thanks.

I got a little bit on him. What I used in google was "john anderson" and "noe valley."

This site identifies him as a prominent turn of the century carpenter: http://www.noevalleyvoice.com/1997/July- August/house797.html

Info from A Walk in Noe Valley: http://www.bjdroubi.com/noe3.1.html

He even shows up in San Juan Bautista: http://www.sanjuanbautista.com/maps.html

Well, the only stuff I can think of right off hand that I have about John Anderson is that the Victorians on 571-573 Liberty Street were built by him in 1897.
