I wish I was as clear in my mind as Softie about the merits of Dyer. As much as anything, it's the priciple of just caving in as soon as somebody makes an offer we shouldn't refuse, headwise, but should turn down in no uncertain terms, heartwise, that pees me off no end.

The short answer is I'll probably wait till the very last minute. Not that there's much risk I won't renew, but I'll kid myself they'll be wetting their collective knickers waiting for my form. You'd think I'd know better by now. Some hope.

You're right of course, Softie. The problem I think is that if we read all of the obvious signs and take into account all the bollix they've dropped and keep dropping, nobody with even a half functioning brain would consider committing themselves to more of what the last couple of years have put us through.

I have to console myself with the 'what if we're reading this all wrong' viewpoint, and the clowns in charge at SJP really do know what they're doing, cos I'd be really p1ssed off if we're right. I personally would take no satisfaction whatever from being that shrewd.

The cynical among us have probably already concluded that the offer for Jeffers was made knowing full well that we wouldn't have a sniff, but at least it would go towards boosting seaon ticket renewals. Everton have accepted the 8 Mill bid, but it still depends on the Arse. What sort of a deal is that for gawd's sake?

And what about BR asking about Giggs,Butt and G. Neville ? That's got me wanting to rush up to the ticket office and renew now, immediately, this instant.
