Tremendous end of week/weekend in Lymington sailing a 32 footer round the solent. It was a corporate weekend and out of nine teams we came 2nd overall. The boats were un-capsizeable according to the skipper and we certainly tested them on the Saturday afternoon. I'd never been sailing on anything that size before and it was a great experience.
Lymington is a nice little town with a couple of decent pubs that we found! Stayed at the Elmers Court Resort which I'd recommend to anyone!

Pleased you enjoyed your weekend DeBuilder - you certainly had the weather for it. Apparently Bobby Robson has a timeshare at Elmers Court. A friend of a friend bumped into him there and commented on how approachable he is.(:o)

Bad luck Geordie :)) I had some of the same when the missus found out that my quiet weekend up north hadn't quite gone according to plan....

Played football yesterday - my lot won 3-0. All I had to show for it was 2 dead legs, one sprained ankle and numerous blisters. It was quite amazing halfway around the world and there were 5 Geordies on the pitch. Although the two on their side weren't really in the mood to talk about the toon after the game.....
