So does anyone rate Michael Ball as a possible left back?

While I'm at it a quick round up of other transfer rumours - Basically everyone apart from Lee Clark has said, or their agent or club manager have said, they aren't being targeted by NUFC. Except that Alpy from Villa and Helder have tried shopping themselves to NUFC.

And I'm really pissed at the amount of Dyer to Manu for Yorke an cash stories everywher.

Not sure about Ball, Tre. He seems to be highly regarded, and is on the fringes of the England squad, so he must be reasonable.
He received good press while playing CB this season for Everton this season, so he may not be settled at LB.
He would almost certainly cost £7-8 million, and in view of our other priorities, I really can't the Toon playing that much for him.
