E-mail received this morning

Hi Ian, Neil Farrington from the Sunday Sun here. Well done on the fans' liason committee front. Don't give the board a minute's peace! I was just wondering whether you'd be willing to have a quick chat with us today for a feature we're doing on Newcastle's future - analysing each area of the team, strenghths and weaknesses, who the club should perhaps be looking to buy etc. If you have got time for a few words, I'd really appreciate it if you could give me a ring on ***********. If you haven't got time today or you don't see this message in time, nee bother. But we'd still like to speak to you for next week's third part of the feature. All the best regardless, Neil.

Dear Neil

I am a great believer that we need to build the team around the proven professionals we have. If the likes of Gary Speed and Warren Barton hadn't been in the side, who knows where we woudl have ended up.

I believe Bobby has got to find more good British players, like Barton and Speed, and then we'll see a great change for good. It's pointless buying in here-today-gone-tomorrow foriegners. We've never been the same since Keegan brought in Asprilla, which was the beginning of the end.

ha Ha Ha,

I think the Sunday Sun are pissed off a bit as their candidates from the punters panel wern't elected so they're trying to nick OUR MAN.

Give em nowt MacBeth....

Well you know I need to represent all views not just those on here, and I've always wanted to have my name in the Sunday Sun.

I don't get the paper unless we're down for a long weekend, what's Farrington like ?

From the limited amount I've seen, Farrington seems keen to rubbish the Toon at every available opportunity. Of course, that may be the objective of football reporters these days. Get yourself talked about in the pubs and on the web sites etc. Most easily done by making yourself unpopular. Note his remarks to "don't give the board a minute's peace" - controversy is what they're after I guess.

I may be being unfair - I've not read him very much - I'm sure you'll be able to judge once you get into correspondence with him.

Go the Steve Wraith way Mac, dont give the cunt a chance to assasinate the club on your behalf.

Make sure that you build your team around Duck barton!;-)

Niel Farrington is a resonable kind of reporter, but I'd still tell him to come here if he's interested in what your average fan thinks. I'd also change the name of the BBs to "NUFC Fans commitee feedback BBS"
