Question?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : People Photography : One Thread

I'm a bit confused. I haven't posted here much recently but do look at this site often. Jeff mentioned below something about "John" trying to keep the site alive. I thought Shawn Gibson was the publisher. Any problems here? For me this is a wonderful site (for inspiration). What's happening? I'll be glad to post some junk, but I love what I see from others. Please keep it going.

Jeff, get back on the streets!

Hey guys!!!

I'm indeed here. I just have been concentrating so much on painting for a while, when I get the chance, and I have started a much-more time-consuming job.

I am so happy that this forum is still alive and well, even if as was said it waxes and wanes. I just hope you continue to enjoy it yourselves, whether I'm "around" or not. I'm always lurking, just don't want to be filling up with meaningless moderator babble...all I can offer right now. :(

I hope no one is offended that I don't post more often. My love of photography, and of this site, is still beyond the actions of the moon...shawn

Todd,

Shawn is indeed the publisher (with yours truly helping out deleting the occasional spam thread). He'll answer for himself, but I think he's kind of busy at the moment. I'm travelling (writing this in a hotel in Seattle -- anybody happen to know a good pro lab in Vancouver, BC? Please e-mail) so I'm not posting much either.

Without trying to answer for Jeff, I think Jeff's reference to John is because John has made most of the posts in the last few days: in that sense he is keeping the forum alive. I was really sad the other day when I had to find this forum from the standard LUSENET page and it had fallen off the "active" list :-(

Still, it's quality, not quantity, that counts, so well done everybody and keep it up!

It kind of goes in spurts, doesn't it? I'd be posting more images, too, but I just moved, and my scanner is broken (actually the card). So now I'm considering a negative scanner, but I'm afraid it'll make me too lazy to get into my wet-print darkroom. Plus I don't really know which one to buy yet. But I always check the forum. We're still alive.

I check the forum regularly too.. it's one of my basic daily bookmarks! I would past more (not that I take many people pics) but don't want to swamp you with crap... you can only suffer so much :)
