Boss Robson enters Jeffers Hunt

Bobby Robson has put his hat into the ring for wonderfully talented Toffees goal machine Francis Jeffers. It is thought that Robson rang up Walter Smith and asked to be kept informed on the situation regarding the Scouse prodigy. Reports emanating out of the Wirral suggest that Robson is willing to match and better any Sunderland bid. The 25 million pound rated Jeffers is expected to be a world record transfer for a 20 year old from Everton. Newcastle have a great relationship with Everton having supplied them with the likes of Pistone and Ferguson, indeed it was Ferguson who was the last super striker to quit the blues for Newcastle and then quit them for the blues, literally. This relationship mirrors the rather successful one Tottenham and Newcastle had in the past. Jeffers has already bought a mansion in Walker and loves the North East...
