Just spoke to your lad Alistair on the phone and i'm due to meet him for a beer shortly - any message apart from 'get yer hair cut' or something similar....? Has he sent you a postcard yet?I'm a bit fearful actually - he said he looked like you!

Ha bliddy ha. Did he tell you he's on a manic three weeks in NZ? Lots of "adventure" sports. He did a free fall from 12,000 ft and broke his nose (but that was only playing footie), did 3 bungies, white-water rafting and a load of other daft things. So as you can see, right out of the same mould. Also, he has a habit of getting intoxicated and falling over so you'll have plenty in common then min! Give him my regards. As for the haircut - if he can, but I think aven G III couldn't do a better job.
FYI, here's a pictire of him on his travels. Seems like he can't afford any decent gaffs (or was he banged up - please let me know).

ha ha! i'm still recovering from the hangover but just to let you [the proud father!] know that he's alive and well and sinking as many pints/litres as he can. Quadruples for $3[a quid]. Two litre jugs of beer for $11 [4 quid]. A teapot of whatever cocktail you fancy - 16 shots in the teapot for about $10 [3.50]. A top night out in Queenstown...I took some pictures and will send them on to you when i get back to auckland. canny lad you've got there Screacher - took some time to convince him to stop introducing me to his friends as "my dad's mate" though....!

Cheers min. I did my best to keep up the tradition this week, but it's becomming obvious that growing old gracefully is a better option. Not that it will stop me trying mind!
