not for us I assume DeB ? I'd love it just love it if Andy Griff finally stayed fit & kicked the ugliest Nev out of the England team.

I fail to differentiate between the ugly Nev's! Griffin needs to stay fit next season however there is no guarantee he will replace Barton even if fit.

Ferguson was obviously pissed at the time

Pissed? Not even in my darkest depths of drunkinness would I contemplate giving Phil Neville and new deal!

Mind you I have often wasted an entire season's transfer budget on Championship Manager, after a good night out!

De B - I remember buying 5 strikers after a night out on CM 2 and they were all sh!t. BTW the best way to get value for money out of CM is to add manager - make Man U bankrupt and buy 50 goalkeepers (they lost their first game 10-0 I can't understand why.....

Bobby Robson is backing injury-jinxed Andy Griffin to finally put his fitness problems behind him and press for full England honours next season.

A regular England Under-21 international on the rare occasions he has not been on the treatment table, Griffin is seen by many as the answer to his country's problems at right-back.

United manager Robson certainly rates him and is expecting him to make a big impact in the next 12 months - providing he can stay fit. Robson said: "We've got him right and he should now be fit for the start of the next season. He'll be ready to play his part. "The worst is behind him. He's got the future to look forward to and he knows that. "That's why we had the operation - to get rid of a problem which might have reoccurred if he'd started the season without it. "We've got rid of it and we've put him in the position where it'll be full steam ahead." Griffin, will go head-to-head with veteran Warren Barton for the Newcastle right-back berth next season, with most fans keen for the youngster to be given first bite at the cherry.

Kegsy,

I completely understand! Having wasted oodles of money on 'promising players' and then switching off at 3am, it is a nightmare returning the next day to find the carnage that you created the night before, "Who the f##k is he?", can often be heard and, "How much?!".

All compounded by your infinite wisdom of saving the game because you had complete confidence that all the new signings would win you the league. Many a false dawn!
