In a couple of sentences Poe wrote mostly when he was smoking opiom which lead to wild hallucinations which lead him to write such pieces as the raven, Bernice, Ligeia, a tell tall heart among many others. Poe smoked often and married his cousin who was barely 13 at the time. He was fucken insane. But very talented.
