Laundry Tip

Not many of us stand around and watch the washing machine fill up, so we probably will not notice as it fills slower and slower. Eventually the washing machine doesn't fill at all, and that we notice. Before calling the repairperson or shopping for a new machine, take a minute to check it out. Is the water on? It is possible someone has shut off the water. OK, now turn the water off and check the two hoses that supply the machine. Unscrew the hoses and check the screen filter in the hose end fitting. These filters slowly clog up until finally they will not let water pass. Clean or replace the filter and then get back to the laundry.
