Airport - Art program

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Public Art : One Thread

Hi There! I am presently researching some articles that would feature how important Art has become in our surroundings, specially in respect to the Airports. I am writing from the GTAA, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, and we are working on the construction of a new Terminal. The goal of my team and myself is to convince my boss that Art is very important even in an airport terminal, where there is a huge amount of passengers that travel everyday.

Thank you for your help,

Try contacting Manchester Airport who run a scheme displaying art works from local artists in their terminals. I know the airport are a big supporter of the arts in Manchester, and this might be just one of thier projects. I don't rate the choices, but thats another issue.

I was recently in the San Francisco Airport which features a great deal of public art ranging from permanently installed paintings to museum style rotating exhibits and more community based shows. It does a great deal because the first impression of the city is that culture and the arts are extremely important. Sets the mood right off. I am an artist and if you go ahead with this project and are open to US artists, please put me on the mailing list.

I’m so excited and I got to tell you this. Check this link and you will be greatly and positively amazed ! !

I highly recommend a great artist whose paintings are among those most amazing and stunning I have ever seen. (I am an artist myself) And they are so original too. Any art lover and collector should check this artist's paintings out. His name is RENMING CHENG. And his gallery in the USA is Fulcrum Gallery (www.FulcrumGallery.com), the new birthplace of hot artists. Maybe you have not heard of him yet, that is not surprising as he is an emerging artist, but one who will surely change the meaning of contemporary art in one way or another with his uniquely different and original art works.

If you are an art lover or collector, you know that anything painted with oil or acrylic by any artists these days, must be a copy or imitation of some other well-known artists’ works. There is no doubt about that. But Renming Cheng’s paintings are completely original which is why I like his paintings.

This guy's paintings remind me of what I found in the works of Picasso and Andy Warhol. Yeah, I guess that says it all, this guy is the combination of Picasso and Andy Warhol !

Yeah, you will know what I mean when you check the following website out: www.fulcrumgallery.com/showArtist.asp?name=CHENG

Watch this guy and collect his paintings, one day they may worth millions apiece, just like the paintings by Andy Warhol now worth between $1 million and $15 million dollars a piece. That is what I was told by a curator and I believe him as he is pretty smart and has always been correct.
