Toon support in County Durham

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I know I've gone on about this before but, I have just walked two hundred yards to the newsagents and saw no fewer than 5 Toon shirts. Whatever the history of Sunderland being in County Durham and whatever Bob Murray may say about the Toon's support being enclosed, I can only conclude that inland County Durham is about 95% Mag. Separately, the local news said there would be a gentle easterly breeze in Derwentside today and it's blowing a bliddy gale.

PS. Having been away from home for so long, I assumed there'd be a few Makem stadium fans etc but there aren't really.

The last time I was in Hartlepool (about 12 months ago), I counted 9 Toon shirts and not one Mackem shirt.

Clearly we have them surrounded - now lets drive them into the sea!

Its either drive them out to sea or build a canal around the shit heap. Then let the inbreds develop their own language called 'wheysise', which no outsider should attempt to learn, thus this island Sunder will become even more secluded and self-sufficient, living of potatoes and carrats and NO DOLE. The inbreeding will be rife, your sister could be you 23year old grandma, your brother could be your sisters son and so on.

Who knows they may even abandon stirling and money tokens, and try to pay their players with fruit and veg, or sheep and cows.

It will probably cost you the equivilent of two cabbages if your a land owner to get in. And if you are not a land owner Bob Murray will let you in for nowt etc..
