OUTRAGE!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I was innocently browsing through a Webshots album moments ago. As I clicked on Advent on the left hand side, I was surprised to see a mature audiences only warning. I was confused but clicked I agree at the bottom. Do this yourself and you will see why I am outraged at this site for trying to censor the beautiful images of our faith.

That is truly weird, Jackiea.
The only explanation I can try to offer -- if it is not downright anti-Catholicism -- is that some people were squeamish about small children seeing Michelangelo's creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel. I just don't know.
You certainly stumbled onto a beautiful collection of art.
God bless you.

Well, that's just it, John. I think it *was* the picture of the Creation of Man that caused the mature audiences rating. But the thing is, that picture is in other albums at Webshots. So, why was this one rated mature and the others not? Could it be because the others were in groups labeled "art" and this was labeled Catholic images????

Alex, did I say I was angry at images? Nooooooo.....you grasp at straws. You truly are, far and away, clueless.
