Confirmed as as Spurs player. No chance he'd have joined us, but I'd have taken him in a shot. I suppose it does raise the average age of the Spurs strike pair a wee bit ;-)

Sherringham is still class, did you see his goal on Friday?, Campbell according to Talk Sport is off to Aresenal and that they will unveil him on Tuesday....bet that will go down like a lead balloon with Spurs fans.

According to the S/Sun, Cabpbell turned down Spurs offer of £80,000 per week. He is said to be seeking £20 million over 3 years - equivalent to £130,000 pw!!! I actually can't see Arsenal paying this much either, or indeed Manure.

I think campbell was trying Spurs' resolve

According to a reporter on Sky, one of the Sunday newspapers said Spurs offered £130,000 per week and he turned that down. Surely it can't be money when that amount is being offered. What's an extra million when you're earning £4m a year?

There were some reports about him coming to us, but those wages could isolate him from the rest of the team. I'm sure any big names we would try to sign would want the same wages which could spell disaster. Not that he would want to go up to the "cold north" anyway, being a cockney.
