Election result

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

The original literature from the club stated that the results of the election to the fans liaison commitee would be known today. Unfortunately it didn't say to whom it would be known.

I have just phoned the club and spoken to a guy who knows the results. The results have been passed on to Rogan Taylor, who organised the thing, and to the Chief Executive for them to look at.

What happens next is that all the candidates will be written to next Tuesday and there wil be a press release Wednesday/Thursday with full details of votes cast for each candidate.

He did tell me how I got on but asked for me not to say. A sure sign that the whole committee is going to be as open as possible and not hidden in secrets !!!

Oh sorry I must have misread your thinly veiled politician's statement.

I think Hague's the mostly thinly veiled

Hope the announcement isn't put in the 'next summer' file alongside the new training facilities. ;-)

I can understand why they don't want people to know where there was only one space, like for female candidates. Hearing from the club would be better than hearing from some fool on the internet. But I stood in the general section in which there were 16 candidates for 7 positions. Even if I came out and said I was or wasn't elected, it wouldn't mean any other person would know they had won or lost.

I'm not going to wind any one up at the club, there's plenty time later to do that. If I am elected.

15 mins to get served is not enough time and even if you do managed to get served the beer isn't right and when you complain nothing happens so you might aswell not bother.....

Ok I'll come back on Thursday.

Bit awkward to arrange tribal council meeting at short notice Mac, your light still shining bright?? ,

Buff, I feel exactly the opposite of Hague in Scotland, everybody I've met has said they voted for me. A cool idea saying you come from Scotland, no way any of the Scots would vote for any one else.

Tony, I don't think I mentioned to anyone that I don't believe alcohol should be served inside football grounds

Does this opportunity present a real possibility that we may find the real answers as to why the club still feck around with the training facilities and academy?

I thought you said you weren't winding anyone up yet! Anyway I can take it or leave it...honest.
