35/1.4 non asph. focus adjustment

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I have this lens since almost a year, I always noticed that the focus telemeter never reach the infinity setting, it was short for two milimiters or so, and in my four bodies was the same, so I was sure it was a lens problem. Early this week I losse the three screws that holds the chrome mount in itīs place, I moved it a little to one side then to the other until the infinity focus seeting was dead on, then tighten the three screws, here is important to be careful to tighten just enough to keep focusing movement smooth, now my 1.4 focus rigth, as I have checked. This hope helps any one in the same problem.

Thank you Mr. Watson !

I attended to just this problem last night, without success. I shall try it with your advice.

Mani,

Is that the lens that was on your "kick" M6?

I have M4P and M3 bodies, and have feelings about them but I canīt remember any "kick"

Mani; when you loose the three screws, just do a half a twist on each one, that will free it, and tihgt back the same, or more or less as you fell the focusing barrel, but with the same amount of twists on each side.
